Sportsnet Holidays
About the Client
Sportsnet Holidays offers premium sports travel packages combining tickets, hospitality and travel. Bookings are high value and often involve complex decision-making and timing considerations.
Despite strong intent, a significant portion of users abandoned online lead forms and bookings late in the journey.
The Challenge
High-intent users were dropping out after:
- selecting packages
- reviewing pricing
- initiating booking steps
This resulted in:
- lost revenue from already-paid-for demand
- over-reliance on new acquisition to replace lost bookings
- inefficiencies in paid media ROI
Our Approach
We implemented a behaviour-led reconversion framework designed to re-engage users based on why and where they abandoned.
The goal was to recover bookings without increasing acquisition spend.
Strategy & Execution
Abandonment Stage Segmentation
Users were segmented based on how far they progressed — browsing, selection, viewing pricing or checkout.
Urgency & Relevance Mapping
Messaging was aligned to booking deadlines, event scarcity and package availability — increasing relevance without discounting.
Multi-Channel Sequencing
Reconversion flows used a mix of email, online ads across the run of site and automation to stay visible during high-intent decision windows.
Outcomes
Key Results:
- 15–25% of abandoned bookings successfully recovered
- 60–75% lower cost per recovered booking compared to paid acquisition
