Emesent is a global mining technology company specialising in autonomous mapping and robotics solutions for complex underground environments. The offering is highly technical and targeted at a narrow audience of senior engineering, operational, and innovation leaders researching complex, high-value solutions. 

Organic search plays a critical role in educating buyers, supporting long consideration cycles, and ensuring visibility at key research moments. 

The challenge 

Emesent needed to strengthen organic visibility across commercially relevant search terms without diluting technical accuracy or attracting low-intent traffic. 

The SEO strategy needed to: 

  • improve first-page visibility for high-value, technical keywords 
  • support long enterprise buying cycles through search-led discovery 
  • increase qualified organic traffic without chasing vanity rankings

On-page optimisation and content refinement 
Existing pages were optimised to better align with search intent, technical depth, and internal linking best practices. Content refinements focused on clarity, structure, and relevance rather than volume, ensuring pages met both user and search engine expectations. 

Technical SEO foundations 
Technical SEO improvements were implemented to ensure efficient crawling, indexing, and performance. This included resolving structural issues that limited ranking potential and ensuring priority pages were positioned to compete effectively in search results. 

Authority and topical coverage 
Content and internal linking were structured to strengthen topical authority across Emesent’s core solution areas. This helped search engines better understand subject-matter relevance while improving the performance of supporting and adjacent pages. 

Outcomes 

Key results: 

  • First-page keyword rankings increased from 352 at the end of 2024 to 425 by the end of 2025 
  • Improved visibility across commercially relevant, high-intent technical search terms
